26 Sept: Roman Ruins, Gypsy Kings, and Van Gogh

  • 0900 Leave for Arles
  • 1000 Walking tour of Arles- see things that Van Gogh made famous in his work. 
  • 1200 Lunch Reservation at L’Arlatan
  • 1400 Tour of Roman Ruins (Roman arena, necropolis, Roman Bath).  Don’t miss the (not Roman, but still old!) cloister at St. Trophime!
  • 1600 Shopping in Arles (Wonderful lingerie store here as well as vintage textile and clothing store, tons of interesting boutiques!) Possible cheese tasting in the afternoon at Les Fromagères.

27 Sept: Roman Aqueducts and a Famous Wine Town

28 Sept: Say goodbye to our lovely space, head to train stations and airports, and begin thinking about our next adventure!
